What you’ll need
- An Android tablet or phone (Android 11 or newer). A ~$150 tablet from a big-box store works great. iPhone / iPad support is coming.
- That’s it to start. To take cards through Gitsey you’ll do a quick one-time Stripe setup; to tap cards on the device, an NFC-capable phone or tablet. Or just use your own card reader and record the sale.
About card fees
Use your own card terminal and Gitsey isn’t involved in the payment. You just record the sale. Prefer to let Gitsey process cards (tap or QR)? Stripe charges its standard per-sale processing fee for moving the money, and Gitsey adds nothing on top of your in-store sales. The money lands in your own bank account.
Selling online for pickup through your storefront adds a small fee on those online orders only, never your in-store sales. More on card payments →
